Model stitched by Florence Vaney
The model was stitched on 30 count linen. It was stitched over one fabric thread using one strand of the DMC colours stated in the key.

Based on a compass rose, this design takes its inspiration from the motifs often seen on wonderful old Quaker samplers.
Stitched either in eight colours or monochrome, this design can be worked as a sampler to add to your collection, but it would also make a beautiful cushion or table topper.
New World is worked entirely in cross stitch, and conversions for working it in Vikki Claytons hand-dyed silks (HDF), Sampler Threads from Gentle Art (GAST) and DMC stranded cotton are given.
