Model stitched by Florence Vaney
The model was stitched on 30 count ecru linen. It was stitched over one fabric thread using one strand of the DMC colours stated in the key. The bead clusters were replaced by cross stitches in 2 strands of DMC white.

This whimsical design is a celebration of the first snows of winter, and would make a wonderful addition to your sampler collection. There are also charts and instructions for a matching needlebook, tuffet pin cushion and scissor fob. Instructions are also included for replacing some of the tiny snowflakes with beaded clusters, to give the design an even more wintry feel.
Winter Wonderland is worked entirely in cross stitch, so is suitable for working on any evenweave fabric. It is charted for five colours, and conversions for working it in Dinky Dyes Silks (DD), Sampler Threads from Gentle Art (GAST) and DMC stranded cotton are given. But why not try working it in a selection of colours of your own, to match your décor or your mood.
